Hosted Whisky Tastings

My hosted whisky tastings are individually tailored and delivered at your venue of choice, so everyone can relax and enjoy the experience together. No prior whisky knowledge is required — just curiosity and a willingness to explore. Travel and setup within twenty road miles of the Royal Burgh of Tain are included but happy to journey further for a small additional fee. Being bilingual tastings can be carried out in English or German.

Whether you’d like to discover the smoke and fire of Islay’s peated whiskies, explore elegant Highland drams, or dip into the world of cask-strength expressions, I design tastings to be informative, entertaining, and engaging throughout. A selection of sample tastings is included below to give you a flavour of what’s possible.

Tastings can be shaped around a special occasion — a celebration, jubilee, or private gathering — or simply an enjoyable evening with friends. Whisky can also be paired with chocolate, or centred around a particular region, flavour profile, brand, or even a specific vintage, depending on your interests.

To set the tone for the evening, a pre- or post-tasting cocktail can be added to the experience, offering a relaxed and sociable way to begin or round off the event.

Just drop me a line and I’ll suggest a range of options, working with you to create a personal tasting that suits your group, budget, and tastes — whether informal and light-hearted or more in-depth.
