Savour the Highlands with breathtaking views, wings, a toast to the picts and moments you won’t find in any guidebook.
This private tour begins with
a visit to Loch Fleet, a peaceful tidal inlet where seals often laze on the sands, before heading to the turreted grandeur of Dunrobin Castle. Time your visit right and you’ll catch its dramatic falconry display against a castle backdrop straight from a fairytale.
Then on to charming Dornoch—ideal for a stroll or a spot of souvenir hunting.
At the ancient Cadboll Stone, we’ll raise a small dram in honour of the Picts, before following the coast to Balintore, where legends and heritage come alive in the striking Mermaid of the North and Salmon Sculpture.
A relaxed, scenic day crafted for curious travellers who want something just a little more special.
A Highland escape for romantics, history lovers, and Outlander fans alike—where every stop carries echoes of the past.
We begin at the historic Highland market town of Beauly and its hauntingly beautiful Beauly Priory, founded in 1230 and once visited by Mary, Queen of Scots. Sir Kenneth Mackenzie of Kintail lies buried here, beneath the limbs of a great tree that has stood watch for centuries. Nearby, a 15th-century market cross marks a time when this peaceful glen was a hub of Highland life—and Jacobite tensions simmered just beyond the hills.
Next, we visit the renowned Campbells of Beauly, a heritage tailor and outfitter serving Highland estates for generations. Whether browsing tweeds or simply soaking up the craftsmanship, it’s a window into a bygone world.
Optional Lunch is a treat at the recently restored Ord House, a 17th-century country house with elegant interiors, a tranquil pond, and gardens that seem made for lingering. Though not a filming site, it feels straight from the world of Outlander—a place where you half expect a redcoat or rebel to appear round the corner.
We finish at Glen Ord Distillery, where there may be time for a relaxed tasting or full tour—experiences can be tailored to suit your pace and interest.
A day to slow down, soak in the beauty, and follow the threads of Highland history at your own rhythm.
Our day begins high above the Dornoch Firth at Struie Hill—a quiet local viewpoint where the scenery speaks for itself.
From there, we follow winding roads to Balblair Distillery, one of Scotland’s oldest working distilleries, for a full tour and tasting. As you explore the cask-filled warehouses and sample the drams, you’ll hear the tales and traditions behind this historic Highland whisky. From here we head on to the handsome seaside town of Dornoch, where you’ll have time to wander its charming streets, browse for unique treasures, or simply enjoy the Highland air.
From here we drive past Tain to Portmahomack and Tarbatness Lighthouse.
This is a day for curious travellers—unhurried, full of character, and just off the beaten path.
